Prototype Room, project team and academic staff review.
CHW Consulting is the consultant for the audiovisual design of RMIT’s School of Applied Communication. This involves working in conjunction with RMIT staff, Spowers (Architect) and several other consultants to design a range of teaching and learning spaces as well as specialist audio/video editing suites. There are approximately 60 rooms over three levels.
On request from RMIT, a prototype of a collaborative learning environment has been designed and built to introduce academics and students to the new concept. This learning environment will be completely digital, making use of cutting edge technology and full high definition display devices. This will be first of its kind in Australia in an Educational institution.
The relocation of the School of Applied Communication is set to be complete by the end of 2010.
Royal Children's Hospital Project

CHW Consulting is the State ICT Consultant (Information & Communications Technology) for the new Royal Children's Hospital Project in Parkville, Victoria. The ICT component is the largest of any current Hospital project in Australia under constuction.
The role includes the provision of advice for voice & data systems integration, telemedicine, multimedia and communications infrastructure. The state of the art facility is scheduled to open in late 2011. This appointment confirms CHW Consulting’s status as one of the leading independent ICT consulting firms in Australia.
Melbourne Convention Centre Development
CHW Consulting are the LAN/WAN, VoIP and Wireless Network design and project management consultants for the new Melbourne Convention Centre Development.
Melbourne's new convention centre will make Victoria a world leader in green building design and construction has now commenced on the 5,000-seat facility.
The centre is the central feature of a $1 billion urban renewal project along the lower Yarra River bank, would be the only convention centre in the world to have a six-star green energy rating or equivalent when complete.
The facility will have a high level of integration between voice, data and building services managed by a converged IP network.
